How to Apply

Applications are now available via the Hawai‘i Interim Housing Program (HIHP).

HIHP assists those displaced by the Maui wildfires by placing survivor households in temporary state-sponsored housing.

When applying to HIHP, applicants will be considered for both Ka La‘i Ola in Lahaina and Hale ‘O Lā‛ie in Kihei. A HIHP team member will work with each applicant to find the best available housing solution, with placement dependent on eligibility and unit availability.
